Partnership with the Reformed Church of America and the Manaus Presbyterian Church

Brazil
Program Overview
Theme: Medical Missions, Evangelism, Youth

Experience life and culture in Brazil as your team boards a medical mission boat and travels to villages along the Amazon River. You will experience the Presbyterian
Church of Manaus bringing medical care and the hope of Jesus Christ to people along the river. You’ll immerse yourself in the culture of the Brazilian Amazon as you participate alongside people in the villages in activities including VBS, music, and sports. Through its riverboat ministry, the Presbyterian Church of Manaus, a church of 6,000 members, reaches out to small villages providing medical and dental services and children’s and sports activities. Many churches have been planted as a result of this outreach; their goal is to continue to establish many more missional communities.

Teams will have a learning experience as they join villagers in sports and children’s activities. Teams with medical and dental skills will assist health workers; some teams will take photos of villagers and make a presentation for them to view at the end of the day.
