Study abroad in Cuba and immerse yourself in the island’s rich history and tropical culture. Cuba is a unique country in the Caribbean known not only for its gastronomy, music, and arts, but also for its universal health care and educational systems. CIEE’s Study in Havana program gives students the opportunity to take classes about Cuban history, literature, arts, race, cinema, dance, public health, pedagogy, and community development in English. Students also have the option of taking Spanish classes, ranging from beginner to advanced levels, alongside their social science and humanities classes.

Projects, Volunteer Opportunities, or Internships
Study in Havana volunteer projects (non-credit) include the opportunity to work at Los Pocitos of Marianao, a peripheral community in Havana. Through this project students can participate in weekly art workshops for children, paint homes in the community, and plant gardens with local neighbors.
